Former University of Hawaii and Raiders quarterback Colt Brennan and two women were seriously injured in a two-car crash on Hawaii's Big Island.

Brennan's agent, Ryan Tollner, issued a statement that said Brennan was transported to Honolulu for further medical treatment after being taken to Kona Community Hospital on Friday. Tollner said Brennan's condition was serious.

His father, Terry Brennan, told KHON-TV by telephone from California that his son suffered three or four broken ribs and head injuries.

Big Island police say Brennan was a passenger in an SUV driven by Shakti Stream.

Brennan, who was drafted by the Redskins in 2008 but waived this year, played in one preseason game with the Raiders before being released Sept. 4. While at Hawaii, Brennan became the NCAA career leader in touchdown passes, with 131 from 2005-07.
